Marketing Coordinator: Content Creation and Brand Manager

Shangri-La Cairns is a luxury five-star hotel located in the heart of Cairns, offering a unique opportunity for a Marketing Coordinator: Content Creator and Graphic Designer to join their Sales & Marketing Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating marketing communications strategy and activities, under the direction of the Marketing Communications Manager and regional leadership. They will create visually compelling and engaging content across various platforms, focusing on bringing creativity to life through design, digital content creation, and visual storytelling for internal and external communication efforts.

This role requires strong design skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for social media trends and brand aesthetics. The ideal candidate will also possess organizational skills and experience in Adobe CS, photography, videography, and graphic design expertise.

About the Role

  • Develop and implement effective marketing communications strategies to achieve business goals and priorities
  • Create and edit engaging content for digital and print media, including social media posts, email newsletters, flyers, posters, menus, and other promotional collateral
  • Schedule and track social media calendars across all platforms
  • Coordinate public relations and key online influencer campaigns
  • Maintain press kit information and PR materials
  • Update the Shangri-La Cairns website with new content in liaison with the regional digital team
  • Write copy for marketing channels, including web, socials, EDM, and print
  • Create material for advertising campaigns, compendiums, and brand and marketing campaigns
  • Maintain F&B loyalty membership and media contacts database
  • Perform ad-hoc reports and maintain marketing administration
  • Carry out special projects and tasks as assigned

About You

  • Must have a solid understanding of platform activity and be able to navigate challenges and rewards of this role
  • Should have a creative flair, organizational skills, and experience in Adobe CS, photography, videography, and graphic design expertise
  • A Marketing or Media graduate or an industry-experienced individual is preferred

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $95,000 per annum, depending on experience. Only candidates with the right to work permanently in Australia will be considered for this position.
