About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to provide life-changing therapy to NDIS participants in Southern Melbourne and surrounding areas.

This is a full-time or part-time (4 days per week) opportunity for a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team at Everyday Independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding
  • Build meaningful relationships with the participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
  • Develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, utilising positive behaviour support framework
  • Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
  • Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges

Requirements
  • Be deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (evidence of letter required)
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Psychological/Social Science or related field)
  • A positive and flexible approach to work
  • Strong communication skills and be a team player
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth
  • A valid Australian drivers license
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Working with Childrens Check
