Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team at Accent Group Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of end-to-end payroll for a portfolio of brands across monthly and fortnightly pay cycles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the accurate and timely processing of end-to-end payroll for team members in Australia and New Zealand via the payroll systems.
  • Collect, calculate, and enter data to maintain and update payroll information.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and assist with calculations including back-payments, leave, and terminations.
  • Provide impeccable customer service to the business in assisting with any payroll inquiries or concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external teams on payroll-related activities.
  • Update and maintain payroll records and leave, sickness, and overtime reports.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years demonstrated experience working in a payroll department, with high volume and/or retail experience preferred.
  • Experience with a Payroll System (Chris 21) highly regarded.
  • Understanding of Australian Awards (General Retail Award preferred).
  • Knowledge regarding superannuation legislation, payroll tax, leave legislation, award interpretation and application, workers compensation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, including accuracy, thoroughness, and ability to monitor work for quality.
  • Must be organized with strong time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt and modify to change quickly as the business continues to grow.
  • Be a collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable with the ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction.
  • High ethical standards and ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
