We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team on a 12-month contract.

Salary

The estimated annual salary for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 depending on experience.

Job Responsibilities

As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • End-to-end payroll processing of various weekly pay runs.
  • Completing day-to-day transactional payroll data entry, data verification and successful delivery of all aspects of payroll as directed.
  • Responding to employee queries and ensuring compliance with SLA.
  • Developing sound knowledge of OTR policies and procedures, industrial awards and agreements and relevant legislation.
  • Interpreting awards and agreements to facilitate accurate payroll delivery.
  • Complete complex back pays calculations and LSL reconciliations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years' experience with knowledge of payroll related legislation, processes and compliance.
  • Experience using Payroll software, i.e. Access Micropay, CHRIS21, Dayforce.
  • Intermediate level of skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Customer service centric and growth mindset.
