Job Overview

This part-time role is 3 days per week, 0800-1400, with flexible days to be negotiated with the successful candidate.

The facility operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the presentation of the dining room to ensure high-quality service standards are met.
  • Service meals in the dining room, considering resident preferences, religious, and cultural backgrounds, to promote opportunities for social interactions and maximize resident enjoyment.
  • Provide a communication link between care services and the kitchen to support ongoing outstanding care for residents.
  • Offer feedback on meals and resident enjoyment to the Executive Chef.
  • Livestock Cranbrook Care culture and work according to our values.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience working in the kitchen of a medium or large organization or food service in a high-service restaurant.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Fluent spoken English and literate in English.
  • Previous experience in the health industry is desirable.
  • A knowledge and understanding of infection control and Work, Health, and Safety Legislation are also desirable.

About You

You will be a motivated individual with a kind and compassionate nature, able to deal with sensitive issues professionally and respectfully.

You have excellent customer service skills, are fluent in English, and enjoy working with people.

To succeed in this role, you should have the ability to work independently, follow procedures, and complete tasks to a high standard.
