Job Title: Dining Room Supervisor - Sydney Aged Care

Estimated salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum (dependent on experience).

About the Role

The Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for delivering meals to residents at a premium level of service. This involves overseeing the presentation of the dining room, managing staff, and ensuring that mealtime is enjoyable and sensitive to the diverse needs of individual residents.

You will work closely with the Executive Chef to develop a trusting relationship with residents and provide feedback on meal services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the presentation of the dining room to ensure food safety and premium service standards are met.
  • Manage the service of meals in the dining room to be sensitive to resident preferences, religious and cultural backgrounds, and promote opportunities for social interactions.
  • Provide a communication link between care services and the kitchen to support ongoing outstanding care for residents.
  • Provide feedback on meals and resident enjoyment of meals to the Executive Chef.
Requirements

We are looking for someone with 1+ year's experience working in a kitchen in a medium/large organisation or food service in a high-service restaurant.

You should have excellent communication skills, a kind and compassionate nature, and be able to deal with sensitive issues in a professional and respectful manner.

We also require:

  • Fluent spoken English and literate in English.
  • Previous experience in the health industry desirable.
  • Knowledge and understanding of infection control desirable.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Work, Health and Safety Legislation desirable.
About You

You will have good interpersonal and communication skills, a responsible approach to work procedures, and high attention to detail.

We are looking for someone who can work under limited supervision, follow procedures, and complete set tasks to an appropriate quality standard.

Benefits

We offer a part-time role with three days per week, 0800-1400 hours, with additional shifts available.

Our facility operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
