About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team at Lansdowne Gardens, a premium aged care residence in Neutral Bay (Sydney lower North Shore).

This part-time role involves overseeing the presentation of the dining room, managing staff to serve meals, and developing relationships with residents to ensure mealtime is enjoyable and sensitive to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Presentation of the dining room to meet food safety and service standards
  • Service of meals in the dining room, promoting social interactions and resident enjoyment
  • Communication link between care services and the kitchen to support ongoing care for residents
  • Feedback on meals and resident enjoyment to the Executive Chef
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 1+ year experience in a kitchen environment or high-service restaurant
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Fluent spoken English and literacy in English
  • Previous experience in the health industry desirable
  • Knowledge and understanding of infection control and Work Health and Safety Legislation desirable

You will be an excellent communicator with customer service skills, able to work under limited supervision and follow procedures. A client service focus, initiative, and time management skills are essential.
