About the Role

This part-time role involves overseeing the presentation of the dining room to ensure the food safety and premium service standards expected by Cranbrook Care are met. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff to serve meals, developing trusting relationships with residents, and ensuring mealtime is enjoyable and sensitive to individual needs.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year of experience working in a kitchen or food service environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English and literacy are essential requirements. Previous experience in the health industry is desirable, as well as knowledge of infection control and Work, Health and Safety Legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the presentation of the dining room to meet food safety and premium service standards
  • Oversee the service of meals, ensuring sensitivity to resident preferences and backgrounds
  • Develop trusting relationships with residents and promote opportunities for social interactions
  • Provide feedback on meals and resident enjoyment to the Executive Chef
  • Livesthe Cranbrook Care culture and work according to company values


About You

You will come from a restaurant, hotel, or premium aged care background, with experience delivering exceptional food service. A kind and compassionate nature, excellent communication skills, and a client service focus are essential qualities for this role.

As a quick learner with attention to detail, you will thrive in a team environment and take pride in getting things right the first time. If you love working with people and are passionate about delivering exceptional service, this role is for you.


Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, estimated at $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience. This role also comes with access to Long Service Leave after 5 years of continuous service, paid parental leave, and a staff discount program.
