Prisoner Rehabilitation Specialist

This role forms part of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering programs and services across specialist portfolios.

The successful candidate will provide individualised care and promote reintegration into the community through supporting the delivery of a rehabilitation pathway in a correctional centre.

  • Developing integrated support plans with prisoners, involving them in goal setting and program/service participation.
  • Administering prisoner risk and needs assessment tools to identify rehabilitation and reintegration requirements.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Demonstrated understanding of transition and reintegration issues affecting prisoners.
  • Ability to administer risk and welfare assessment tools effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working with diverse cohorts, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

About Qualifications and Requirements

A tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline is highly regarded. Demonstrated skills and experience in human services, welfare practice or related fields are desirable.
