Senior Water Resource Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Water Resource Engineer to lead complex water resource projects, including water management plans, environmental impact assessments, and hydraulic design projects. The ideal candidate will have a degree in environmental or civil engineering, registered professional engineer status, and at least 6 years' experience in water resources.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and deliver complex water resource projects, developing relationships with clients from various industries.
  • Advance project management skills, working alongside recognized industry experts.
  • Develop technical skills in water balance, flood modelling, and civil design.
  • Progress career through mentoring and training opportunities.
  • Participate in business strategy development, contributing to an agile and inclusive work environment.
Requirements:
  • Degree in environmental or civil engineering.
  • Registered professional engineer status.
  • At least 6 years' experience in water resources.
  • Strong capability in one or more fields of water balance, catchment, flooding, and/or stormwater modelling.
  • Confidence with spatial/terrain software packages and Python/coding applications.

The successful applicant will be a motivated and experienced water resources engineer, confident managing projects and progressing towards principal level.
