Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Planning and Development specialist to join our team. The role involves working on complex matters in Environment & Planning.

About the Role

This is a mid-level position that requires excellent technical knowledge and practical skills in drafting and problem-solving. As a Planning and Development specialist, you will work under senior lawyers who are leaders in this area, including an Accredited Specialist, and collaborate with the team to ensure exceptional work delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

You will deal with a diverse caseload across Classes 1 and 3, involving exposure to various complex matters in Environment & Planning.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with drafting and reviewing documents related to planning and development matters.
  • Collaborating with the team to develop strategies for resolving complex planning and development issues.
  • Providing advice to clients on planning and development matters.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in Planning and Development, preferably in a reputable Melbourne-based firm or specialist firm.
  • Unrestricted Working Rights.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the Environmental, Planning and Assessments Act.
