**Gameplay Animator Role**

About the Position:

We're seeking a skilled Gameplay Animator to join our animation team, working on building a contemporary vision for EA's Skate franchise.

This role involves creating in-game animations from motion capture data, conforming to the style and quality benchmark set for the project. You will work closely with the gameplay team to establish and create animations that meet design requirements.

You'll collaborate with Technical Animators and Engineers to ensure character motions appear dynamic and fluid in-game. Additionally, you'll work with Technical Artists to manage and solve technical problems as they arise.

Key responsibilities include implementing tagging and branching of animation content using EA's proprietary Frostbite engine & editor, identifying potential roadblocks, and developing solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 3+ years of experience working on AAA console games
  • Experience with motion editing and key-framing characters to a high standard
  • Strong understanding of human anatomy and biomechanics
  • High proficiency in Motion Builder or Maya
  • Ability to work closely with designers and engineers, brainstorming and iterating on results in the engine
  • Able to identify issues and efficiently resolve them
  • Effective communication across disciplines
