Senior Animation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Animation Specialist to join our team in Melbourne, Australia.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will bring expertise in character animation, motion capture, and rigging to create high-quality visuals for sports titles. The successful applicant will work closely with art and code teams to improve character visuals and design animation systems with gameplay team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Edit and clean motion capture data using Motion Builder software.
  • Collaborate with gameplay team members to design animation systems.
  • Coordinate and direct motion capture shoots.
  • Work with art and code team members to enhance character visuals.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in animation, particularly body mechanics and movement principles.
  • Technical skills in Motion Builder and Maya software.
  • Working knowledge of cloth and hair dynamics, ideally in video games.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Keen eye for detail and composition.
Bonus Points
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Mel, Python, or Lua.
  • Solid understanding of classic animation fundamentals and principles.
