Quantum Sensor Engineer Position
Join our team of experts in quantum technology to help shape the future of sensing. As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will contribute to the development of new quantum sensor prototypes designed for magnetic and inertial navigation.

We are seeking an accomplished analogue/mixed signal design engineer to take on technical leadership over hardware projects, taking responsibility for technical deliverables from initial architecture through field trials and product certification. The ideal candidate will have experience with RF and optoelectronic devices, though this is not essential. As a senior member of the hardware team, you will mentor engineers and technicians and drive continuous improvement of our hardware development practices.

This role focuses on demonstrating quantum sensing for Aerospace, Defence, geophysical exploration, and Earth observation. Your primary goal will be architecting, miniaturising, and ruggedising bench-top prototypes for operation in the field and eventual productisation. You will manage the delivery of complex hardware prototypes, taking responsibility for the technical quality, performance, and reliability of the hardware. As an individual contributor, you will be a domain expert in analogue and mixed signal design.

This position requires a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Physics, Engineering or equivalent industry experience. A demonstrated track-record of delivering high-quality analogue and mixed signal designs at a Senior level is highly desirable, as well as R&D experience working concurrently with scientists and engineers. Experience taking designs from prototype to production, including design for manufacture and product certification, is also important.
