Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Modelling Scientist to join our research team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge quantum sensing technology. The successful candidate will work closely with experts in the field to develop novel methods for removing magnetic and vibrational noise from quantum sensors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantum mechanics, signal processing, and machine learning, as well as experience working with Python.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement advanced signal processing techniques to improve the performance of quantum magnetometers.
  • Collaborate with researchers to design and optimize optically-pumped atomic magnetometers for use in noisy operating conditions.
  • Perform time series analysis and develop platform and environmental noise compensation techniques using state-of-the-art digital signal processing and machine learning methods.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality software solutions using Python and collaborating with other teams to deploy and validate their developed algorithms and sensing solutions on real quantum sensing hardware.

Additional responsibilities will include documenting and reviewing software code, as well as contributing to the development of new technologies and methodologies.

Requirements
  • PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong background in quantum mechanics, signal processing, and machine learning.
  • Experience working with Python and C++ programming languages.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
