About the Role
We seek a senior scientist to mature control technology for quantum sensors. This is an opportunity to work with a world-leading team and contribute to shaping the future of quantum technology.
Key Responsibilities- Research and develop novel quantum control solutions to enhance quantum sensor performance.
- Develop theoretical models and numerical simulation tools for assessing sensor performance in real-world environments.
- Analyse sensor performance in realistic environments and apply optimization and machine learning techniques for both performance enhancement.
- Collaborate with our quantum control engineers, experimental physicists, and sensor hardware specialists to deploy developed quantum control protocols on real quantum sensor hardware.
- PhD in Physics, Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in theory, numerical modelling, and/or optimisation of atom interferometry, cold and/or ultracold atomic systems, optical magnetometry, and/or quantum sensing in warm atomic vapours.
- Python programming skills for scientific computing.
- Experience modelling real experiments/hardware and working closely with experimental teams.
