About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Scientist to contribute to the development of next-generation small-form-factor quantum magnetometers that offer exceptional sensitivity, stability, and reliability in challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a growing team focused on quantum sensing for various industry sectors, including aerospace, defense, geophysical exploration, and Earth observation;
  • Perform time series analysis and develop advanced noise compensation techniques using cutting-edge digital signal processing and machine learning methods;
  • Translate complex data streams into actionable insights that solve pressing challenges for current and prospective customers;
  • Conduct essential research and development into novel quantum control solutions to enhance the performance of real-world quantum magnetometers;
  • Develop innovative theoretical models and numerical simulation tools to assess the performance of quantum sensors in real-world environments;
  • Work closely with Research and Engineering teams to deploy and validate algorithms and sensing solutions on real quantum sensing hardware;
  • Develop high-quality software using Python and share results through verbal presentations and written outlets;
  • Liaise as needed with academic and industry partners to support business development and new product initiatives.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong expertise in quantum sensing, machine learning, and digital signal processing;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights;
  • Proven experience in software development using Python and other relevant programming languages;
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams;
  • A strong understanding of the principles of quantum mechanics and their applications in sensing and measurement technologies;
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
