About This Role
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Technician to join our team. Located in a picturesque region, this world-class project has evolved from a greenfield site since 2017.
In this position, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results within our state-of-the-art workshop. You will thrive on meeting all goals and challenges while acting with fairness and integrity in all that you do.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading maintenance crews following directives of managers and supervisors
- Executing servicing, repair, and maintenance of heavy machinery including excavators, drills, and dozers as directed
- Sourcing technical information from relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computer-based systems
- Assisting crews in effectively meeting daily safety and maintenance targets for the project
- Providing technical guidance to staff and operations personnel
- Procuring necessary parts and equipment requirements through approved procedures
- Ensuring the implementation of solutions and controlling non-conforming machinery until corrected
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Trade Qualified Mechanic Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment) or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in mining with exposure to leading or supervising mobile maintenance teams
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams
- A strong commitment to health and safety practices
- Mining Supervisory training is highly regarded
