Grounds Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This is a temporary full-time position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team to maintain the school's grounds and facilities.

The successful candidate will contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the school by providing high-quality maintenance and upkeep of the grounds, buildings, and other facilities. This includes:

  • Supporting the school with building and grounds maintenance, cleaning, and opening/closing the premises.
  • Articulating a clear understanding of and personal commitment to Catholic Education and actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school.
  • Performing maintenance tasks unsupervised and managing the school's maintenance program.
  • Managing and maintaining school grounds and buildings or similar experience.

This role is ideal for an individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and provide excellent customer service.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III or Trade Certificate in a relevant field (desired).
  • Current paid Working with Children Check number.
