Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Specialist About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Sydney Olympic Park. As a key member of our Athletic Centre Team, you will be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of turf and grounds at various locations around the park.

About You:

  • You have experience working in horticultural trades and possess a Horticultural Trades Certificate or equivalent experience and technical knowledge in horticulture and maintenance techniques.
  • You are proficient in the use of a wide range of horticultural plant and equipment.
  • You have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and are able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • You are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment and adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain soft landscape playing surfaces to elite and world-class standard.
  • Perform minor and major renovating activities successfully and safely.
  • Deliver ground maintenance outside of events and bookings to maximise field usage.
  • Perform routine maintenance on grounds machinery equipment and repair/replace irrigation infrastructure as required.
