About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to engage with local industry and supply chains, working on complex, large-scale projects that reflect our proven capabilities and trusted performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver the Welding Capability Management plan.
  • Ensure welding activities meet quality standards across current and future builds.
  • Provide guidance on best practice weld management.
  • Develop and implement weld capability processes.
  • Oversee validation of Supplier welding tests and inspections.
  • Support the Shipbuilding Specialist team in identifying process improvements.
Requirements
  • Diploma or higher qualification in Welding Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in a lead role in a welding operation.
  • Detailed knowledge of welding techniques, materials and equipment.
  • In-depth understanding of industry standards and codes.
  • Proficiency in welding software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
