Quality Assurance Lead

The role of Quality Assurance Lead is pivotal in ensuring that welding activities meet contracted quality standards across current and future builds.

The position requires a proactive approach to weld assurance activities, identifying and mitigating risks to welding processes. The role provides Subject Matter Expert guidance on best practice weld management and identifies appropriate corrective actions to resolve weld defects.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing, documenting, and implementing weld capability processes
  • Conducting audits of subcontractor welding operations aligned to Program Quality plans
  • Maintaining and managing welding process documentation
  • Ensuring welding activities comply with industry standards and codes
  • Providing regular reports to senior management on welding progress and quality performance
  • Developing and implementing weld mapping systems
Requirements

Applicants must possess a Diploma or higher qualification in Welding Engineering or a related field, minimum 5+ years' experience in a lead role, detailed knowledge of welding techniques and materials, and proficiency in welding software and tools.
