About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of physical and psychological conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of clients and provide individualized occupational rehabilitation services to support their return to health and return to work outcomes.
  • Develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs for employers and employees.
  • Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals to provide comprehensive support and guidance.
  • Work across various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.
  • Conduct a variety of assessments, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments, to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, or Physiotherapy.
  • Registration with AHPRA or ESSA plus SIRA Accreditation.
  • Previous experience working in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry is highly regarded.
  • Fabulous communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Compassion, kindness, and empathy are essential qualities for this role.
  • Well-developed time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance is a must.
