Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team. As a key member, you will work closely with clients, employers, and medical professionals to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs. Your duties will include:

  • Case Management - Manage client caseloads, working collaboratively with Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks.
  • Return to Work Outcomes - Apply your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes, working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
  • Client Support - Assist clients with injuries or health conditions to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.
  • Assessments and Evaluations - Conduct various assessments, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments, to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities.

Requirements

  • Tertiary Qualification - Hold a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, or Physiotherapy.
  • Registration and Accreditation - Be registered with AHPRA or ESSA and hold SIRA Accreditation.
  • Experience - Previous experience working in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry is highly regarded.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills - Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Time Management and Organization - Demonstrate well-developed time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Current Driver's License and Vehicle - Hold a current NSW Driver's License and have access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance.
