About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of clients and provide individualized rehabilitation plans to support their return to health and return to work outcomes.
  • Collaborate with employers, employees, medical professionals, and allied health professionals to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
  • Conduct a variety of assessments, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments, to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.
  • Work across various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, employers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences, or Rehabilitation Counselling.
  • General or Provisional registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors ASORC or Rehabilitation Counselling Association of Australia RCAA as a Rehabilitation Counsellor.
  • Previous experience working in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded.
  • Fabulous communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Compassion, kindness, and empathy are essential qualities for this role.
  • Well-developed time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance is a must.
