About the Role

The Youth Outreach Housing Specialist will work closely with young people to empower and build their agency, enabling them to make effective change and overcome their identified housing and wellbeing needs. This role involves heavy outreach, engaging with young people in crisis accommodation, street outreach, and refuges, and translating initial engagement into a strong ongoing partnership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet individual case performance targets as per the weekly, monthly, and quarterly dashboard system.
  • Provide high-quality, intent-based practice in all interactions with clients, consistent with the ATSICHS values and vision.
  • Deliver high-quality case management practices and record-keeping that adhere to operational requirements.
  • Demonstrate positive and warm engagement through an assertive outreach approach that engages clients into the service.
  • Facilitate client-led assessments and Care Plans to identify client goals, including the entire family where appropriate.
  • Provide role-specific targeted interventions and family-facilitated group meetings to achieve client goals.

  • 1 full-time and 1 part-time position.
  • Starting annual salary of $90,000 + Super + Not-for-Profit Salary Packaging (increases your take-home pay).

Requirements
  • Current Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Social Science, Health, Allied Health, Youth Work, Community Services, Family Intervention, or Criminology with 4 years' relevant experience in family support, child protection, youth support, or related field.
  • Current Diploma in Community Services, Social Work, Human Services, Child and Family, Allied Health, Youth Work, Child and Family Intervention with 5 years' relevant experience in family support, child protection, youth support, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a case management role.
Additional Requirements
  • Requirement to travel across the Logan, Bayside, and Brisbane region, as per program/resident location.
  • Current driver's licence.
  • Valid police check.
  • Flexibility to work outside core 8:30am-5pm business hours in meeting individual client needs and providing responsive care.
  • Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.
