About the Role

The Youth Outreach Housing Specialist will work with Young People in partnership to empower and build their agency to make effective change and overcome their identified housing and wellbeing needs.

The role is heavily outreach based, engaging Young People in crisis accommodation, street outreach and refuges, and translating initial engagement into a strong ongoing partnership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet individual case performance targets as per weekly, monthly and quarterly dashboard system.
  • Provide high quality and intent-based practice in all interactions with clients, consistent with the ATSICHS values and vision.
  • Provide high quality case management practices and record keeping that adhere to operational requirements.
  • Demonstrate positive and warm engagement through an assertive outreach approach that engages clients into the service.
  • Facilitate a client-led assessment and Care Plan to identify the client's goals, including the entire family, where appropriate.
  • Provide role-specific targeted interventions and family facilitated group meetings in achieving client goals.

We offer a supportive team culture, a starting annual salary of $90,600 +11.5% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging, and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients.

Requirements
  • Current Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Social Science, Health, Allied Health, Youth Work, Community Services, Family Intervention or Criminology with 4 years' relevant experience in family support, child protection, youth support or related field.
  • OR Current Diploma in Community Services, Social Work, Human Services, Child and Family, Allied Health, Youth Work, Child and Family Intervention with 5 years' relevant experience in family support, child protection, youth support or related field.
  • AND At least 3 years of abovementioned experience in a case management role.
Additional Requirements
  • Requirement to travel across the Logan, Bayside, and Brisbane region, as per program/resident location.
  • Current drivers' licence.
  • Valid police check.
  • Flexibility to work outside core 8:30am-5pm business hours in meeting individual client needs and provide responsive care.
  • Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.
