Job Title: Senior Content Leader

We're seeking a senior content leader to oversee the creation of engaging news content for millions of consumers. This role involves setting daily editorial agendas, assigning tasks to a team of journalists and producers, and implementing strategies to maximise engagement, revenue and referral traffic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set the daily editorial agenda and assign tasks to a national team of journalists and producers.
  • Commission content for specific audiences across various channels.
  • Implement strategies to increase engagement, revenue and referral traffic.
  • Manage a team of multimedia producers and journalists to foster a great culture.
  • Report on content performance and share key insights with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all content meets legal and moderation standards prior to publication.
  • Collaborate with key teams to maximise the life cycle of our work.

Requirements:

  • Experience managing people in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of digital and social media platforms.
  • Extensive experience working in a newsroom.
  • Well-developed experience with Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in editorial and technological workflows.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A genuine interest in news.
  • Ability to analyse content effectiveness and audience sentiment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
