About the Position

RMIT University is a leading provider of marketing education and research, with a strong focus on industry impact. The Marketing Department is seeking a passionate marketing academic to join our team, contributing to the delivery of marketing programs and research initiatives.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in Marketing and a strong track record of research outputs, including publications and competitive research funding. They will also have experience in teaching marketing courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including online delivery, and the ability to produce high-quality industry-relevant curriculum or course materials.

The Lecturer will be responsible for course coordination, supervision of higher degree by research candidates, and building effective networks with colleagues and industry stakeholders. They will also contribute to the development of marketing programs and research initiatives, and engage in industry-relevant research and consulting activities.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration, and a passion for marketing education and research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach marketing courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including online delivery
  • Develop and deliver high-quality industry-relevant curriculum or course materials
  • Supervise higher degree by research candidates
  • Contribute to the development of marketing programs and research initiatives
  • Engage in industry-relevant research and consulting activities

Requirements

  • PhD in Marketing
  • Strong track record of research outputs, including publications and competitive research funding
  • Experience in teaching marketing courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including online delivery
