About the Role:
We are seeking highly skilled Engine Rebuilders who specialize in the rebuild and overhaul of heavy diesel engines. Your primary responsibility will be to complete a thorough strip-down, inspection, rebuild, and review of test results.
Main Responsibilities:
- Strip, clean, inspect, and rebuild Caterpillar engines according to specification.
- Evaluate engine condition prior to rebuild and ensure all necessary parts and reclamation have been identified accordingly.
- Maintain a high focus on quality, safety, and efficiency throughout your work.
- Utilize precision measuring tools and adhere to OEM technical data.
- Collaborate with the workshop team to meet turnaround targets and contribute to continuous improvement in rebuild processes.
- Prepare detailed service reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience rebuilding Caterpillar C Series / 3200 Series or similar off-highway truck heavy diesel engines.
- A strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- A trade qualification (Diesel Fitter, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial for effective collaboration and communication.
- A commitment to safety and quality standards is expected from all applicants.
