About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Windows and VMware Engineer to join our team at Pyramid Global Technologies.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Windows and VMware administration, with a minimum of 12 years of experience in one or more of the following domains: Windows, VMware, Citrix, Exchange, PRTG, ADFS, AD, and Linux.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a single point of contact for clients for all infrastructure requirements.
  • Collate, consolidate, and present reports on tickets to clients.
  • Manage and maintain Windows and VMware environments, including AD-integrated DNS and DHCP solutions.
  • Develop and implement scripted solutions using Microsoft PowerShell.
  • Configure and maintain WSUS and/or SCCM servers.
  • Provide excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven background in writing documentation and presentations.

Desirable Skills:

  • ITIL V3 foundation certification or knowledge.
  • Experience in data centre operations.
  • Business acumen and IT knowledge.
  • Excellence in strategic and analytical problem-solving.
  • Experience in operations/consulting background.

Technical Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge in all facets of AD-related tasks and activities.
  • Administering a Microsoft Windows 2008 and 2012 r2 active directory domain using standard Microsoft snap-ins.
  • Understanding of FSMO Roles.
  • ADFS and cloud integrations.
  • Good knowledge on installing and managing internal and external certificates.
  • Support o365.
  • Creating objects in active directory.
  • Managing share permissions.
  • MS Exchange.
  • CITRIX / NetScaler support.
  • Knowledge of Big Fix for rolling out patches to Windows servers.
  • F5 Load Balancer support.
  • Delegating active directory object permissions.
  • Managing groups and permissions.
  • Microsoft Distributed File System.
  • Microsoft Distributed File System Replication.
  • Microsoft File/Print services.

Experience managing Active Directory-integrated DNS and DHCP solutions.

Creating and managing group policies and troubleshooting.

Active Directory Migration experience.

Improve AD processes and automate repetitive tasks wherever feasible.

Configuring and maintaining WSUS and/or SCCM server.

Excellent writing skills with a proven background in writing documentation & presentations.

Experience developing scripted solutions using Microsoft PowerShell.

Installation of ESX Servers, vCenter Server and vSphere Client.

Extensive knowledge in advance features of ESX VMOTION, SVMOTION, HA and DRS.

Experience in P2V, V2V MIGRATION using VMware Converter and Provisioning VMs from templates and cloning.

Worked on disaster recovery using SRM-Site recovery manager.

Health Check for VMs and ESX host.

Experience in enterprise level PKI administration.

Experience in Enterprise level AD sites and service administration/management.

Experience AD trust relationship configuration and troubleshooting.

Experience in LDAP configuration and troubleshooting.
