Business Development Manager Position
Job Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to drive business growth in the rail market.
Main Responsibilities:- Maintain a strong understanding of rail market developments and translate into business needs.
- Develop strategies to support delivery of primary business growth goals and identify opportunities to meet these goals.
- Meet sales and margin goals of financial rail market plan within territory of responsibility.
- Generate customer requirements through sales visits and close customer contact, actively visiting larger end-user accounts and any prospect identified.
- Prepare and manage professional quotations independently, handle active follow-up on these and convert into orders successfully.
- Promote products and services by organizing technical presentations, demonstrations, and trainings.
- Travel within region and elsewhere as required.
- Report regularly on opportunities, current quotation status, and expected orders, using this information for proper forecast.
- Lead and coordinate marketing activities such as VOC, exhibitions, market mapping etc...
- Strong understanding of rail market served in region.
- Ability to communicate effectively among diverse group of individuals from varying levels within company and customer organization.
- Ability to search for solutions, continuous improvement, and constantly raise bar to stretch own and others' levels of achievement.
- Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office suite, CRM systems, and industry databases to generate various reports, develop presentations, and data management.
- Inspires and motivates all stakeholders, creates energy.
- Anticipates changes in business conditions, ensures appropriate action is taken to account for these changes.
- Possesses ability to clarify complex situations.
- Encourages and facilitates change, promotes diversity of ideas.
- Able to manage multiple priorities with bias towards action and speed.
- Frequent travel required, both flight and driving necessary.
- Results oriented, constantly displaying integrity and respect.
