Overview of the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Rail Sector Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, business, economics or a related field, with significant experience in the rail or transport sectors in Australia and New Zealand.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and delivering work for rail sector clients, while also developing follow-on opportunities to grow our presence in the transport sector. This will involve working closely with Technical Directors and Consultants/Senior Consultants to deliver complex projects and programmes.

Leadership involvement includes line management for junior consultants and mentorship, as well as short-term travel across Australia and New Zealand. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and rapport building skills, as well as a deep understanding of the rail sector challenges and opportunities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Engineering, business, economics or other relevant field degree qualification preferred
  • Significant experience in the rail or transports sectors in Australia and New Zealand
  • Regulatory framework exposure for the transport sector
  • Team leadership, performance management and mentoring
  • Professional networks growth through industry engagement and membership bodies
  • Quality service delivery, communication and rapport building
