Job Title: Fabrication Specialist

Metso is seeking an experienced fabrication specialist to join our team at the newly built service centre in Karratha, Australia.

The successful candidate will work on a variety of tasks including structural fabrication, assembly and welding of parts according to technical engineering drawings and route sheets, as well as repair, replacement, modification and fabrication using appropriate tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all safety inductions and procedures have been completed prior to undertaking any tasks
  • Mark out/off structural fabrication and shapes according to specifications
  • Prepare material for bending, drilling or machining after dressing has been completed by the steelyard
  • Assemble and weld parts according to technical engineering drawings and route sheets
  • Repair, replace, modify and fabricate using appropriate tools and welding techniques
Requirements
  • Fabrication Trade Certificate
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Significant fabrication experience
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical drawings and procedure manuals
