The Opportunity

We are seeking an individual with exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail to support our regulatory change process. The successful candidate will be critical in assessing regulatory change to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date obligations registries, and providing advice and guidance on implementation of regulatory change by stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and assessing regulatory change notifications for incorporation into our governance, risk, management system
  • Maintaining compliance registers, including obligations, risks, and controls, and ensuring appropriate linkages
  • Supporting the assessment, reporting, and escalation of compliance breaches and incidents
  • Providing advice and guidance on the implementation of regulatory change by stakeholders
  • Undertaking monitoring and providing reporting on compliance activity

This role will provide compliance support across various businesses, requiring adaptability and a willingness to learn. You will gain exposure to a diverse industry, master new technology platforms, and be involved in exciting cross-functional projects. To succeed in this job, you will need:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in business, law, compliance, or risk management, or a related field
  • Between 1-5 years of professional experience, ideally working in a highly regulated environment, and experience working in financial services or healthcare will be advantageous
  • A good understanding of compliance, obligations, regulatory change, and incident management
  • Experience in operating GRC systems
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • A curious mind with the ability to ask 'why?'
