Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer Position

The Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer plays a vital role in improving the educational outcomes of Aboriginal and Islander students by providing them with the support they need to feel welcome, respected, understood, and cared for.

The successful applicant will work closely with students, teachers, parents, and the community to develop and maintain positive relationships that foster academic achievement, social-emotional growth, and cultural awareness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentoring and pastoral care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students
  • Assisting teachers in implementing educational and behaviour management programs
  • Providing multi-cultural direction in the development of the educational program
  • Facilitating school and family connections

Eligibility Requirements:
