Job Overview:

The Account Manager will play a crucial role in delivering operational requirements of commercial cleaning contracts. Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations to deliver key customer and gross profit KPIs, developing and maintaining strong client relationships, determining staffing requirements, onboard and training new staff, leading and managing supervisors and staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.

This is a fast-paced role requiring a 'Make it Happen' attitude and exceptional client and organisational skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring services are provided to the highest standard and with staff resolving issues efficiently.

About the Role:

  • Manage daily operations to meet customer and business targets
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Determine staffing needs and train new staff
  • Lead and manage teams to achieve desired outcomes
  • Complete regular inspections and audits to ensure quality standards
  • Prepare proposals and assist with tender responses
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety practices
  • Monitor team performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Support staff development and address performance gaps

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in account management with a focus on service delivery
  • Industry knowledge in cleaning services or related fields is an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office programs: Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients
  • High level of initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Sound understanding of health and safety processes
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Able to work flexible hours including after-hours work and overtime as required
