Space Project Coordinator Leader

Leading by example, the manager of College Space Project Coordinators is responsible for a customer-service focused team who provide space and accommodation services and coordinate minor works projects.
The team provides exceptional service to professional staff groups in Flinders' Portfolio and College business units embedded in various locations across Flinders campuses. They work with University staff, students, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to build strong relationships and deliver high-quality results.
The manager will also be exposed to a varied mix of projects including essential infrastructure upgrades and construction of new and refurbished labs, teaching spaces, offices, and student spaces.
The key areas of responsibility include:
- Lead and manage the team, supervising and developing their performance, workload resourcing, mentoring, and providing recommendations and support in complex matters.
- Developing and managing relationships with college and portfolio staff and accommodation users to ensure the provided service meets their needs.
- Working effectively across the division to develop, implement, and continually improve procedures and guidelines that comply with University policy, aligning with the University ethos, academic integrity, social responsibility, and brand.
The ideal candidate has proven experience in day-to-day leadership of operational administration, projects, or facilities management. They must have demonstrated experience in leading a team to achieve high-quality customer service outcomes and results.
Key capabilities of the role are:
- High-level organisational skills, including ability to operate within a flexible work environment, work independently and proactively, prioritise concurrent tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Significant ability in developing and implementing strategies that promote the priorities of an organisation.
- Tertiary qualification with significant subsequent relevant experience in administrative management, project management, facility management, and/or equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training.
