About this role

We are seeking a skilled Performance Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality analytical services that inform business decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering complex data analysis, modelling, and projections to inform key decisions.
  • Partnering with stakeholders at various levels across the organization to deliver and analyse results and provide expert advice, insight and guidance on strategies, performance and initiatives.
  • Contributing to strategic research, benchmarking and data initiatives by participating in the development and implementation of frameworks, methodologies, standards and reporting processes.
  • Undertaking research, modelling, scenario analysis, forecasting using both quantitative and qualitative methods to support business planning and performance monitoring.
  • Developing specialised dashboards, reports, presentations and recommendations to communicate complex analytical findings for various stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making.

What you'll need

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and experience in a similar role within a large and complex organization or proven equivalent competency gained through any other combination of experience, education or training.
  • Demonstrated success in developing tools and implementing processes to monitor organisational performance including data collection and reporting of both University and Faculty / Divisional KPIs.
  • Demonstrated experience working with large structured and unstructured data sets, with the ability to model and analyse using applications such as SQL and Python or R, Excel and Databricks to draw insights and produce data visualisations in tools such as Power BI.
  • Highly developed skills in quantitative and qualitative analytical research and statistical analysis techniques, expertise in scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis, correlation and regression analysis and the development and application of analytical business tools.
  • Proven communication, partnering and consulting skills including the ability to engage, influence and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated capacity to think and plan strategically with a demonstrated ability to be agile and innovative, while maintaining commitment to achieving outcomes.
