Talent Insights is partnered with an Information Tech company who are looking for an Analytics Engineer with a blend of creativity, technical expertise and business acumen to drive end-to-end data solutions, from acquisition and transformation to analysis and visualisation.

If you're a dedicated data professional with core Data Engineering fundamentals, ideally in the Microsoft Azure tech stack but also a passion for sitting close to the business and communicating insights to key stakeholders, this could be for you

Roles and responsibilities for the Analytics Engineer (Azure DF / SQL / Power BI) include :

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data requirements and deliver actionable insights
• Develop and manage dashboards, reports, and data visualisations (Power BI)
• Design data models and documentation to support governance and quality
• Optimise workflows for performance and cost-efficiency
• Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance
• Support and troubleshoot data issues
• Stay updated on data engineering and analytics best practices

Required experience for the Analytics Engineer (Azure DF / SQL / Power BI) includes :

• Proven experience with Azure tools (Data Factory, SQL, Functions, Logic Apps, Cosmos DB)
• Strong skills in Power BI, Python, and Git
• Ability to demonstrate real-world business impact from previous data projects
• Experience with data from APIs, databases (e.g., BigQuery), and unstructured sources
• Familiarity with CI/CD and automated data pipeline deployment
• Strong understanding of data governance and BI infrastructure
• Desirable: exposure to sales, e-commerce, or online retail analytics; experience with unstructured databases like Cosmos DB or MarkLogic

Desirable Qualifications for the Analytics Engineer (Azure DF / SQL / Power BI) includes :

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or similar
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Databricks Certificate)
