Job Title: Ecological Project Lead

About the Role:

This senior position involves technical leadership of complex ecological projects across NSW, including assessments and environmental planning.

You will be responsible for quality assurance, client relationship management, team mentoring, and business development.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions, while supporting the development of junior ecologists.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of ecological assessments (including BDAR, flora/fauna surveys, habitat assessments).
  • Provide expert advice to clients and project teams.
  • Oversee the technical quality and compliance of ecological deliverables.
  • Support or lead proposal writing and tenders for new work.
  • Engage directly with key clients across government and infrastructure sectors.
  • Mentor and support early-career ecologists.
  • Work with the Managing Director to grow the ecology practice strategically.
