About the Role

We are seeking a Practice Lead – Ecology with a strong technical background and commercial acumen. The successful candidate will lead our talented ecology team, developing and implementing business development and growth strategies to capitalize on inter-disciplinary opportunities.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of ecological professionals
  • Develop and implement business development and growth strategies
  • Drive delivery of significant projects and multidisciplinary programs
  • Provide high-level ecological expertise, reporting, and advisory support
  • Engage with clients, regulators, and community stakeholders to communicate science and deliver value
  • Collaborate across teams to capitalize on inter-disciplinary opportunities

This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership and technical skills. You will work closely with our teams to develop and implement strategies that drive business growth and deliver outstanding results.

Requirements
  • A degree in ecology, environmental science, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in ecological consulting, project delivery, and team leadership
  • Proven experience in managing technical projects and professional services teams
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a track record in business development and client engagement
  • Ability to navigate complexity, solve problems, and deliver innovative solutions
