Ecological Leadership Position

Seek a highly skilled and experienced ecological leader to drive project success in Newcastle, Australia.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, project management, and business development support within our Ecology team in NSW and other regions across Australia as required.

  • Deliver high-quality ecology projects with a focus on flora survey, preferably in the Sydney Bioregion (NSW).
  • Develop and implement best practice technical delivery in line with Commonwealth and state policies and legislations.
  • Actively share knowledge with team members to support the technical delivery on other projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to increase the visibility of the Section.
  • Lead thought leadership initiatives to position Jacobs as a leading provider of contemporary communication and engagement services.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) accreditation.
  • A degree in a relevant science discipline (ecology, environmental science, natural resource management).
  • Experience in the delivery of ecology projects, preferably in the Sydney Bioregion (NSW).
  • Strong report writing skills and ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Ability to travel intra or interstate, including occasional extended trips.
