Sustainability Assurance Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Assurance Professional to lead the development, implementation, and enhancement of our sustainability assurance methodology.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of assurance in a rapidly evolving field, while supporting practitioners across the audit practice with your expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain BDO's sustainability assurance methodology in line with Australian Standards on Sustainability Assurance Engagements (ASSA).
- Provide technical guidance and respond to complex queries on sustainability assurance engagements from client-facing teams.
- Collaborate with audit and assurance teams to ensure the effective application of assurance methodology in sustainability-related engagements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of sustainability assurance specialists.
- Monitor changes in the regulatory and standard-setting environment and ensure timely integration into methodology and practice.
- Support technical learning, including designing and delivering relevant learning programs.
- Engage in thought leadership projects and contribute to responses to regulatory consultations on sustainability assurance matters.
- You hold a graduate degree in Accounting, Economics, or Business majoring in Accounting and/or Finance.
- You are CA qualified or equivalent.
- You possess excellent technical accounting knowledge and skills, including applied knowledge of Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards.
- You have demonstrated experience in performing and/or reviewing sustainability assurance engagements.
- You have broad range of client experience and across various industries.
- You have strong project and stakeholder management skills, with experience managing people and technical deliverables.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical matters for diverse audiences.
