A great opportunity has arisen for a Senior People and Culture Officer to join our government client site in Brisbane. This role will be leading ED&I, Culture and Capability initiatives for the community.

About the role:

The ideal candidate will have experience in Australian government, preferably in a similar role, with a strong background in ED&I/Culture/Capability. You will draw on business knowledge, workforce data, metrics, and other information sources to identify, develop, and implement long-term strategies to address emerging workforce issues and build workforce capability, business improvement, staff engagement, and culture.

  • Delivering high-quality verbal presentations and written submissions, briefs, and correspondence, including the ability to communicate sensitive and strategic issues to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Contributing to a positive and safe work environment by ensuring conduct that is culturally capable, inclusive, respectful, and ethical.

Key requirements:

  • Of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent; or
  • Accepted as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander by the Aboriginal and/or Torres Straight Islander community in which you live.
  • Previous Australian government experience in a similar role.
  • ED&I/Culture/Capability experience in a government role.
