Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team.

This role will involve working with hydraulics and pneumatics, collaborating with Operators and receiving guidance from Senior Mechanical Fitters and Maintenance Team Leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promoting a culture of safety as a critical component of effective maintenance.
  • Maintaining sound communication and positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Ensuring the functionality of all mechanical systems.
  • Managing multiple tasks simultaneously, assessing priorities and meeting targets.
  • Providing technical advice for complex job planning, including safety requirements.

Requirements:

  • A relevant Trade Course Certificate and Craftsman's Certificate of Proficiency.
  • Availability for day or shift work as required.
  • Knowledge of plant, equipment, materials, and maintenance methods used in heavy industry.
  • Understanding of plant operation, inter-related effects, and consequences of plant failure.
  • Sound knowledge and commitment to safety practices.
  • Proven prioritizing, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advantageous experience in hydraulics and pneumatics.

Benefits include a 9-day fortnight and 35-hour week, Monday to Friday.
