Job Description
We are seeking a high-performing Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our maintenance team. As a key member, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional maintenance services for parks, reserves, and streetscapes within the City.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance parks, reserves, and streetscapes through gardening, landscaping, and other horticultural activities.
- Operate various horticultural equipment safely and efficiently.
- Develop and implement work programs and schedules to ensure effective resource allocation.
- Provide support, guidance, and mentorship to staff members and apprentices as required.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work in accordance with WHS and industry obligations.
- Experience in maintaining and operating parks and gardens-related plant and equipment.
- 'C' Class driver's license.
- WHS General Induction for Construction (White Card).
