Project Overview

Bechtel is working with Woodside Energy to expand a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia.

This project will meet the increasing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.

Job Summary:

As a team leader, you will oversee craft professionals on this project.

You will direct their activities, work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development.

Your oversight will ensure that craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Supervises and/or directs craft activities as assigned.
  • Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft.
Leadership / Supervision
  • Coordinates established area operational plans.
Planning / Productivity
  • Monitors tool and equipment usage on the site.
Tools, Materials & Equipment
  • Ensures that crafts have the tools they require to be productive.
Safety & Quality
  • Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors' performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.
Technical
  • Works with Construction Field Engineers, Leading Hands, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must have sound knowledge and experience in RT, all terrain and crawler cranes.
  • Advanced technical knowledge and experience in engineering in the use of lifting equipment, alternative heavy lifting systems, mobile gantries, jacking, tailing, rigging equipment, and load distribution systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of project Environmental, Safety & Health.

Work Environment:

  • This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions.
  • Must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task.
  • Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site.
