We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our compliance function, driving strategic initiatives and ensuring regulatory compliance across the enterprise.

  • The ideal candidate will identify, assess and mitigate legal, regulatory and privacy compliance risks, implementing effective controls and mitigation strategies.
  • They will shape, drive and advise the business on regulatory and legal compliance initiatives, fostering a culture of compliance and integrity.

This is an opportunity to implement, maintain and deliver a comprehensive enterprise compliance framework and strategy, partnering with key stakeholders to achieve shared goals.

You'll work closely with a high-performing team, doing a variety of work including:

  • Effectively implementing and enhancing GHD's legal and regulatory compliance and privacy strategy, ensuring seamless execution and monitoring.
  • Providing strategic advice and pragmatic solutions to senior management on compliance-related matters, leveraging your expertise to inform business decisions.
  • Identifying and assessing enterprise compliance risks, developing and implementing targeted mitigation strategies to minimize exposure.
  • Implementing robust monitoring and reporting systems for compliance metrics, providing timely insights to support informed decision-making.
  • Leading internal investigations related to compliance matters, ensuring thorough and unbiased analysis.
  • Functioning as a point of contact for regulatory bodies, fostering strong relationships and ensuring effective communication.
  • Partnering with the enterprise learning team to deliver compliance and education programs, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in law, jurisprudence, business or related fields, demonstrating a solid foundation in compliance principles and practices.
  • 8-10+ years' experience in similar roles within an international organisation, showcasing your expertise in compliance leadership and risk management.
  • Experience in completing enterprise-wide legal & regulatory compliance risk assessments, applying your knowledge to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Strong influencing, interpersonal skills and experience in liaising with a multi-cultural stakeholder group, facilitating effective collaboration and communication.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence and ensure timely decision-making, leveraging your analytical and problem-solving skills to drive results.
