The role of Senior Audit Officer is an exciting opportunity to contribute to maintaining the integrity of the aged care system by monitoring and assessing approved providers' compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
This involves undertaking accreditation and reaccreditation audits of residential aged care services, completing Quality Reviews of Home Services and flexible aged care services, and preparing for audit plans under the direction of the Assistant Director – Audit.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct review and analysis of provider request for information documentation and prepare concise summaries.
- Prepare agendas, targeted questions for interviews with provider management, attend meetings, and document meeting minutes.
- Prepare and update audit plans.
- Work collaboratively with field-based team members to understand and respond to emerging requirements.
- Support Assistant Director Audit and Auditors off-site with audit administration.
- Lead and manage APS 5 Auditor staff including developing, coaching, and mentoring staff.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
This is an office-based role, with limited time spent in the field.
